The heat of Zion was gradual immersion into Las Vegas heat. At 2 pm, when we arrived at our campsite: Las Vegas KOA @ Circus, Circus, our truck registered 35 degrees. We set up Skylark, soon followed by turning on the A.C. Our Skylark gasped out some cool air. (Later, when we cleaned the filter, it breathed easier. ) When the sun went to sleep, we explored "the strip". The following photos are our first foray into Vegas nightlife.

We searched three blocks for a grocery store. Several plazas with a variety of goods and services... bakeries... eyebrow threading... locksmithing... salsa lessons... We had just a few items on our list, and they were becoming less important as our search continued with no results. Then, I spotted "market". Conveniently, it was on our right, so a quick right turn then a cautious stroll and to our delight, a grocery store and a cultural experience! We were able to get most things on our list, plus a few extra like... hummus!
