Gatineau Park, Quebec

Wednesday, October 29, 2014
Today, I visited Gatineau Park with Tom and his friend Aline.

Oh well, it was too cold, anyway...

We hiked the O'Brien Trail for a view of Meech Lake and the Carbide Wilson Ruins.

                                                                    Meech Lake

The following pics are of the Carbide Wilson Ruins. As you will see in the pics, we had lots of fun clambering around these ruins. Plenty of photo opportunities!

Then, we hiked Penguin Trail.

Here we ate our lunch and enjoyed the view.

From Vancouver to Ottawa

Tuesday, October 28, 2014
At 6am, Jonathan and I drove through downtown Vancouver for our flight to Ottawa. Quiet streets and intersection lights blinking a constant green made for a quick commute to the airport.

These pics are from the Vancouver airport.

I am interested in how people interact with art. This sculpture greets you after you clear security. When I approached the sculpture, one man was using the base as a shelf for some of his personal items. The other man was using the sculpture's left foot as a hook for his suit jacket.

Monday, October 27, 2014
Today, we walked with Jonathan's Uncle Pete along the West Vancouver Seawall (ocean side trail).
It is walking distance from our campground.

We walked from the home of Jonathan's Aunt to a nearby mall. Haircuts for Jonathan and me were less than the cost of one haircut at Park Royal Mall.

Sunday October 26, 2014
Clear skies for a hike! We traveled to Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. We hiked the green trail to the Third Debris Chute then returned on the Headwaters Trail to Varley Trail.
