Butano State Park: Pescadero, California

We hiked from the Visitor's Center along the Jackson Flats Trail and then followed the Butano Fire Road. A hike on Mill Ox Trail returned us to the Jackson Flats Trail and to the Visitor's Center. It was about a 3 hour hike.

The newts were prolific on the Butano Fire Road. They were well camouflaged. We watched for motion, but when they were still, they were harder to detect. There were a few close calls but no newts were harmed during our watch!

After our hike, we explored the town of Pescadero.

Then we explored "Made In Pescadero". The furniture is built in the studio above the store.
