We drove to Fremont, an hour drive from Pescadero.
Several blocks before the business section of Fremont, there were many signs indicating parking was only available during certain hours. We soon discovered the reason. Fremont was waiting for the Niles Festival of Lights parade. Our photos show the front row seats that parade watchers secured before the start of the parade.

Then we drove to Dublin to visit with the Gates family. The Gates were our neighbours at our KOA Costanoa. They invited us to join their campfire and their Thanksgiving feast. It was wonderful to get to know them and to be invited to their home.

Ellie told us to bring Tupperware. My few containers were not enough to transport the amount of leftovers Ellie sent us home with. So Ellie sent us home with some of hers. Since Friday, we have enjoyed four delicious meals from the Gates' Thanksgiving feast!
Warm fuzzies for that kindness!

Delete;-D It was such a treat to be invited out for a home-cooked meal (and then have meals for the week). I thought of the "Thanksgiving meal" you prepared for us in Ottawa ;-D
DeleteIt was great having you two over for Thanksgiving. We will continue to watch your journey across the states.
