The docent wore a black cowboy hat with a silver headband. He made his headband as well as his bracelet and his bolo tie jewellery. Turquoise adorned his bracelet and bolo tie.
Back to the exhibits:
I thought of the Ute dancer that performed for us in Cortez, Colorado.
In a nearby building, La Casa Cordova, there is an installation of El Nacimiento. The exhibit portrays scenes of the Christmas story and settings from Mexican family life. El Nacimiento has been presented every year since 1978 from November to March and has become a Tucson tradition https://www.tucsonmuseumofart.org/historic-block/la-casa-cordova/

We noticed several mesquite trees, in the museum plaza, some with plastic bags, some with canvas wrapped around a section of their limbs. Workers tended to one of the mesquite limbs in front of the museum. One worker held a bucket as the other worker unwrapped the plastic. They explained to us that if they did not wrap the limbs, they would drain a dark liquid that stains the concrete and would drip on passersby. They pointed out some stains on the concrete. They advised us to never park our vehicles under a mesquite tree.
The food was as top notch as the exhibits.. and not just because we invited !
